Liam Neeson's Hangover 2 cameo cut

Liam Neeson's cameo in 'The Hangover 2' has been axed.

The Northern Irish actor - who replaced Mel Gibson in the small role of a Bangkok tattoo artist in the Thailand-set sequel - has had his part cut from the movie and his scenes are now being re-done with Nick Cassavetes after scheduling conflicts meant he was unable to do re-shoots required by director Todd Phillips.

Todd told Variety: "We were in a complete time crunch, so I called Nick and asked if he would do the part. He came in and crushed it, and that is the scene that you will ultimately see in the film. [I'm excited for everyone] to see the film. It turned out great."

Liam - who is currently shooting the follow up to 'Clash of the Titans' in London - also worked with 'The Hangover' star Bradley Cooper on 'The A-Team' and previously spoke about his one day on set, saying he was excited to be a part of the movie.

He said: He said: "I didn't make it to Thailand. I made it to Warner Bros' studios. They built a set, which could've been in Thailand.

"It was fun. It was. It was pretty intense. I was only there for one day - a Sunday, as far as I remember.

"It was good to be with Bradley Cooper - he's a buddy - and the other two gentlemen, I'd never me them before, but I love what they do.

'The Hangover 2' - the follow-up to the first movie in 2009 - is set to hit cinemas at the end of May.
