Britain's Sarah Ferguson has "learned to love herself" after years of hating her body.
The Duchess of York, who is the ex-wife of Prince Andrew, says Oprah Winfrey helped her accept herself after the US talk show host signed her up to reality TV show 'Finding Sarah' in which she underwent therapy.
She said: "I think that over the past year, Oprah has opened my eyes so much. I have learned to love myself.
"If you've been called fat and ugly and lots of names when you're growing up, as I was, you believe it the whole of your life."
Despite years of insecurity over her figure, Sarah now only focuses on the positive aspects of her physical appearance when she looks in the mirror, particularly admiring her waist, breasts and legs.
She told Australian magazine New Idea: "I love my hands and wrists and ankles and hair and eyes. I've got a really good waist and a great pair of bosoms. Plus the pins aren't bad."
The 51-year-old duchess also regrets that she didn't realise how "beautiful" she looked on her wedding day in 1986 because of the cruel jibes.
She explained: "It meant that I never believed I was pretty. On my wedding day I was a good weight and I looked really beautiful, but I didn't see that.
"I look back and think, 'How sad'. But you can't live with regret, because that's a thief of the present, and we have to remain in the present."
