Air France A380 Collides with Delta Flight

By: Daun Lee

At a little after 8 pm two planes collided on the tarmac of John F Kennedy Airport in New York. The Air France Jet was getting ready to take off when it clipped the tail of the Delta flight, which had just landed from Boston, according to ABC news. The Comair Delta was lifted and turned 90 degrees. The Delta flight had 66 passengers and crew members while the Air France had 495 passengers and 66 crew members. Luckily, no injuries were reported. The Air France A380 and the Delta Comair was grounded so that the planes could be inspected.

The collision came after a sting of controversies over sleeping air traffic controllers. No one was hurt but that could have been different. We are told we are safer in the air than on the streets, but this goes to show accidents can happen anywhere. People are accidentally injured in the air and on the ground. The negligence of others is often involved and accident attorneys will work in the courts to hold these parties responsible.

An injury can be temporarily debilitating or cause permanent disability, but no matter how severe the injury an experienced accident lawyer can obtain compensation for those individuals. No matter where the accident occurred, whether on a plane, in our vehicles or a business we frequent, accident victims deserve the recoup the medical costs and loss wages with the representation of an accident attorney that is possible.
