The golf legend was caught cheating on his wife Elin Nordegren which prompted the two to get divorced. The couple was married for six years and has two children. In 2009 women began to surface that Tiger allegedly had affairs with, all told it ended up being around a dozen women. Woods apologized publicly for his affairs but his marriage was headed for the courts with the aid of divorce lawyers. Tiger lost many endorsements for his indiscretions.

Elin and Woods were divorced in August 2010. Elin with the help of her divorce attorney was awarded a settlement that was reported to be a little over 100 million dollars. The two are sharing custody of their two children and still live in close proximity. The settlement that was awarded to Elin hasn’t been received, according to the Examiner.  Tiger re-entered the competitive sports in 2010 after a short hiatus which leaves some to wonder why the settlement hasn’t been received.
