Bret Favre Sexts Were ‘Humiliating’ and ‘Intimidating’

By: Daun Lee

For two days the internet has been buzzing about the sexts that Brent Favre sent to Jenn Sterger, who never even met the quarterback. Favre retired this year and was fined 50,000 by the NFL for refusing to comply with the sexual harassment investigation. Sterger said on Good Morning America that the texts were ‘humiliating’ and ‘intimidating’. As a reporter for the NY Jets only encountered Favre in the hallways and tried to stave off his calls and texts. Favre is currently married with children but that didn’t discourage him from making passes at Sterger.

In a study published by MSN, researchers found that sexual harassment occurs frequently in a workplace dominated by men, like for instance a football team. This male dominated environment can be a culture where the harassers are allowed to engage in unwanted advances and innuendos, and get away with it, but hiring a sexual harassment attorney can alleviate that situation. The study also revealed hat men who fell like the victim is to blame for sexual harassment are likely themselves to be harassers.

The problem of sexual harassment is still prevalent in the workplace, according to the study. The environment created by harassment can be eliminated if more victims retain sexual harassment lawyers to bring the problem to light. Working in an uncomfortable environment can be difficult for women and men. Sexual harassment attorneys have been working to make the job free of the intimidating and debasing problem of sexual harassment.
