Antony Cotton: Too busy for kids

Antony Cotton says he's too busy to be a dad.

The 'Coronation Street' actor - whose alter-ego Sean Tully is about to be reunited with his three-year-old son, Dylan - insists he is very happy for gay men like himself and Sean to become fathers but says he couldn't imagine it happening to him at the moment.

Speaking about people who think gay men should not become parents, Antony said: "It's a terribly old-fashioned view. Gay people are the same as anybody else. As long as two people are happy and offer a child unconditional love, I don't see what the problem is.

"But as for kids of my own, I think I've got enough to do taking care of myself!"

While he has no desire to be a father at the moment, the 35-year-old star is enjoying working with the three-year-old twins who play his on-screen son and they are already picking up habits from him.

He told new! magazine: "The identical twins who play my three-year-old son are so cute. I kept trying to get them to pick up some of my mannerisms. In one scene I did a flamboyant shrug, and the little boy did the same when it was his shot."
