Suicide Bomber Kills at least 30 in Iraqi Town Just South of Baghdad

A suicide bomber targeting a gathering of Sunni Muslim tribal leaders in Yusufiya, Iraq has killed at least 30 people and injured more than 100 others.

The suicide bomber reportedly entered the home of a tribal leader where the meeting was being held and detonated the explosive.

Yusufiya, about 20 miles south of Baghdad, had been an al-Qaeda stronghold at one time but Sunni leaders shifted their allegiance in recent years and began working with the Iraqi government.
