Joan Collins wants to appear in 'Benidorm'.
The 77-year-old actress is a huge fan of the ITV1 sitcom after being introduced to the programme by her sister, author Jackie Collins, and now wants to have a guest role on the show.
Jackie tweeted to the show's creator Derren Litten: "Benidorm is totally fab. My sis Joan Collins would love to do a guest shot on it. I got her addicted!!!"
Derren had quit the show but after the last series pulled in over eight million viewers, he is now planning to return for a fifth series - and admits he would be thrilled to pen a role for former 'Dynasty' star Joan.
He tweeted: "Joan Collins in Benidorm??!! I ain't gonna let ANYONE else write that. Looks like I'm coming back. (sic)"
Derren also admitted he would love to write a role for Jackie.
Responding to the author's original tweet, he posted: "Wow! That's amazing! But what about you too?! We want you BOTH!"
He later added: "Head swimming with storylines. Of course ITV haven't announced a recommission yet. Somehow don't think we need to worry!"
Previous guest stars on 'Benidorm' have included Cilla Black and Bananarama.
ITV have confirmed the news the show will return for a fifth series.
A spokesperson said: "We're pleased to announce that your favourite holidaymakers will return for a fifth series of 'Benidorm' that will start filming later this year, we can also confirm Derren Litten will be back to write some of the new series"
