'Coronation Street's Becky McDonald will be left heartbroken when nephew Max is taken into care by social services.
The mouthy blonde - played by Katherine Kelly - took on the care of Max with her husband Steve (Simon Gregson) after buying him from her conniving sister Kylie (Paula Lane) but her actions will come back to haunt her when she is reported and loses custody of the youngster.
Kylie's fiance David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) thinks her son should live with them and when he discovers Becky's deception, he is delighted as it gives him the perfect opportunity to get the boy back.
The loss of Max is a double blow for Becky and Steve as the barman gave up his daughter Amy to her real mother Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) in order to stop the killer revealing their deception over Max and Steve's mother Liz is furious with them both.
Katherine explained recently: "Liz entirely blames Becky. The fact that she and Steve gave up his daughter to a murderer - Tracy - to save Becky's nephew Max has been the elephant in the room. Liz shows them what they've done in black and white.
"It gets to the point where Becky is either going to break a glass in Liz's face or walk out - so she has to go. Liz has driven her away and pushed to drink, so she gets wasted and reverts to type. Becky just wants to take the edge off everything."
