Kate Middleton chooses three wedding dresses

Kate Middleton has three wedding dresses prepared for her April 29 marriage to Britain's Prince William.

The future princess is alleged to have chosen her favourite by designer Sarah Burton - who currently works for the Alexander McQueen label - but has back-ups in case details are released prior to the nuptials at Westminster Abbey.

One of the three is thought to have been created by Jasper Conran, who created the gown for Princess Margaret's daughter Lady Sarah Chatto in 1994.

According to the Daily Mail, writer Anne Chertoff said: "FashionEtc has learned that Jasper Conran may have landed the plum assignment; however, he is not alone.

"Sources tell us that Middleton has commissioned three wedding dresses from three different designers."

Rumours have been rife about which designer Kate will pick for her wedding dress, which will be seen by an estimated television audience of two billion people.

However, it is believed British designer Alice Temperley is involved in some capacity, after she was seen meeting with the 29-year-old future royal's sister Pippa and mother Carole.
