Man Catches Fire While Viewing Porn Video Inside San Francisco Sex Shop

In an event that must have been one hell of a sizzling sex scene, police and firefighters in San Francisco are searching for clues about what caused a man to burst into flames while watching porn in a private booth inside a sex shop.

Paramedics from a private ambulance company parked near the sex shop in the bay area city's Market District spotted ta man ruuning down the street on fire just after 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to a fire department spokesman.

SF Police Lt. Kevin McNaughton told CBS San Francisco that the man had run out of the shop "engulfed in flames" and police officers and firefighters near the scene arrived quickly and helped put the man out. The man, who wasn't identified, was taken to a hospital, where he was being treated for life-threatening burns over 90% of his body, the fire spokesman said.

A sex shop employee told police the man was watching a porn movie in the back of the store when he ran out screaming and on fire, KTVU television reported.

Police and Fire Investigators said they didn't know how the man caught fire and were searching the booth for clues and flammable materials or other accelerants.
