Fern Britton wants Queen Elizabeth II to appear on her chat show 'Fern'.
The TV host said her dream guest would be the head of the nation, or hunky mature 'Pretty Woman' actor Richard Gere.
She joked to Star magazine: "I'd love to have the Queen and Richard Gere. Sadly, I don't think Richard will want to fly the Atlantic to appear on my show.
"I'm quite sure as soon as the queen sees the show, she'll want to be on it, though."
Speaking of the forthcoming royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton, she added: "I'm sure the queen will be on the phone wanting to talk to us about it. Or she'll Skype us."
The 53-year-old presenter also hopes to have a political edge to her new weekday show, but is worried about how best to present such content in an exciting way.
She added: "If we had politicians on the show, we wouldn't want to be bogged down with statistics, percentages, campaigns etc, it turns people totally off. It would be more straightforward, I'd be asking, 'What the f**k are you doing about this?' I might not use that word at five o'clock, though!"
'Fern' is shown on Channel 4 from Monday to Friday at 5pm.
