Thieved OAPs were put in trance

A hypnotist is being hunted in Russia for thieving off pensioners by putting them in a trance.

The unnamed man has been caught on a bank's CCTV camera in Stavropol hypnotising eight elderly people who have withdrawn cash and given it to him.

He is thought to have swindled thousands of dollars with his unconventional method.

One of the victims, Mayra Sovic, said: "I remember this man coming up to me and saying he desperately needed money and I would help him. The next day my bank manager told me I had withdrawn my life savings."
