Autopsy Planned for Jett Travolta, 16-Year-Old Son of Actor John Travolta

An autopsy has been planned for Jett Travolta, the 16-year-old son of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, who died on Friday after an apparent seizure at the family’s vacation home in the Old Bahama Bay resort community in the Bahamas.

According to reports Jett suffered a seizure while in the bathroom and hit his head on the bathtub. He was discovered by a caretaker late Friday morning. The caretaker, Jeff Katharain, was said to always be with the teenager who had a history of seizures.

Jett Travolta had been diagnosed with Kawasaki disease as a child, a disease that causes inflammation of the blood vessels in children. It is unknown if Jett was taking medication for his seizures.

The autopsy, scheduled for Monday, should show whether Jett Travolta hit his head on the bathtub prior to the seizure or if he had a seizure and then fell and hit his head on the tub.

A spokesperson for Travolta has said the family would have Jett flown to Ocala, Florida for a burial sometime next week.
