Saturday's First Round NBA Playoff Games
The NBA Playoffs kick off this Saturday with four games of the eight first round match-ups.
The first game kicks off at 1:00 with the first seeded Chicago Bulls take on the eight seed Indiana Pacers. The Bulls finished the regular season with the best record in the NBA and should breeze through the Pacers behind strong play from Derrick Rose, Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah.
The second game is at 3:30 and pits the Philadelphia 76ers against the second seed Miami Heat. The Heat have made headlines as much for on the court play as they have for their free agent acquisitions of LeBron James and Chris Bosh. The Heat have unmatched talent but have had trouble coming together to win games this year but they should be able to handle a 76ers team with an injured star in Andre Iguodala.
The third game of the day is the Atlanta Hawks against the Orlando Magic. The Magic have been inconsistent this year and are vulnerable when Dwight Howard gets in early foul trouble. The Hawks have lots of raw talent but a lack of leadership and tendency to quit could lead to another quick playoff exit for the team with the league's highest paid player, Joe Johnson.
The last game on Saturday has the Portland Trailblazers facing the Dallas Mavericks at 9:30. The Mavericks are a perennial contender for the championship but have failed to put the pieces together in the last five years. A young Trailblazers team could send them home in the first round and lead fans to wonder if Dirk Nowitzki will ever win a championship.
