Fern Britton's gastric band has helped curb her cravings for chocolate bars.
The TV presenter has managed to cut down on the amount of calorific treats she indulges in since she was fitted with the band to help her lose weight in 2008.
She said: "It was uncomfortable at the beginning but I'm fine now. It means I can eat one Kit Kat without wanting a second. Before, however hard I tried, I couldn't lose weight."
Fern said she also sticks to a strict exercise regime to keep herself in shape, and that she doesn't worry about how she looks too much, as there are other things in life, such as her husband, TV chef Phil Vickery and her children - twins Jack and Harry, 16, and Grace, 13, from her first marriage and Winnie, nine, with Phil.
She said: "I am still cycling. I really do love the cycling so much. And walking the dogs. At the end of the day, what I look like isn't the most important thing in the world! What makes me happy is being in my home or picking the kids up from school."
