By: Daun Lee

Saturday April 16th is officially Record Store Day. There was the time that in order to get music you had to trudge down to the local record store to get your new music fix. However as the internet grew on popularity, new music made its way onto the internet through bootleg sites and now entire albums can be purchased on the web, either the real thing or a digital download. In an effort to keep the 700 independent record stores up and running, several people conceived of and organized record store day and many will host special events. So if you need an excuse to get out of the house go to your local record store and show your support.

It’s hard to ignore the impact that the internet has on modern society. The internet is where people get valuable information about many things like which restaurants to go to, which lawyer to hire or what products to buy. The internet marketing and SEO optimization have become crucial to many businesses whether they exist in the digital world the real world.
