Obama's Tax Return Shows his 2010 Income

President Barack Obama's tax returns were released on Monday, showing just how much he and his wife Michelle made this year.

Barack and Michelle filed jointly and reported an adjusted gross income of $1,728,096. The Presidential couple had to pay $453,770 in federal tax and $51,568 in Illinois state income taxes.

According to a White House press release, the majority of the couple's income came from sale of the President's books.

Among their most notable expenditures in 2010 was $245,075 in donations. They reportedly gave money to 26 charities.

Meanwhile, VP Joe Biden and his wife Dr. Jill Biden reported an adjusted gross income of $379,178. They reportedly paid $86,626 in federal taxes.
