President Obama Resumes Talks About Immigration Reform

By: Daun Lee

President Obama has had a lot to deal with as of late and the major issue has been the Budget. With some of the budget debate winding down he is now ready to address immigration reform. A meeting between Bi-Partisan members of faith-based groups, law enforcement and businessmen will gather Tuesday afternoon to discuss reform.

The issue of illegal immigration has been addressed by a number of states who have attempted pass their own laws in the interest of reform but they have been blocked by the Obama administration that cited immigration is a federal issue. The states who have been battling with the immigration issue encounter serious problem with the illegals that are present in their states. To be treated fairly an immigrant should become naturalized with the assistance of an immigration attorney.

The benefits of being an American citizen are many and that is proven by the millions who seek citizenship in the US annually. The Obama administration hopes to streamline the naturalization process so it will be less difficult for those who seek citizenship aided by an immigration lawyer. The President tried to reform the immigration policies in his first two years of office but his attempts were hindered by the Republican lead House. Immigrants have helped build this nation and our economy is dependent on the many who come here and work but to fully participate in the American dream they should become naturalized citizens with the help of an immigration attorney.
