Authorities say 17 people were killed in a helicopter crash in northeastern India on Tuesday. Six people, including the pilot and co-pilot, survived the crash.
The helicopter, which belonged to the state-run Pawan Hans Company, was attempting to land in a mountainous region in the state of Arunachal Pradesh when the accident occurred. Authorities say the helicopter missed a helipad, caught fire and fell into a gorge. No other details, including the cause of the accident, were available. The crash is under investigation.
