The RPM International Inc. who manufactures Rust-Oleum products will set up a trust fund for victims of asbestos exposure who developed related ailments. Two subsidiaries of the corporation, Specialty Holdings Corp and Bondex International Inc. entered into bankruptcy last year. Over 10,000 asbestos and mesothelioma cases that pending litigation against the two companies initiated by mesothelioma attorneys. The attorneys representing the company have stated they will set up trust fund of an undetermined amount for the people exposed to the toxic carcinogen through their products.
Asbestos was present in some of the products manufactured by Bondex between 1966 and 1977. The products manufactured by Specialty Holdings included asbestos and when breathed can cause mesothelioma which attacks the lining of abdomen, heart and lungs.
