Nic Cage Arrested In New Orleans, Allegedly Intoxicated

Nicolas Cage found that out recently in New Orleans when he was arrested on charges of domestic violence, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness.

The evening also reportedly included a stop at a tattoo shop in the French Quarter. Following that visit, in which Cage didn’t get any new ink, the 47-year-old actor and his wife, Alice, got into an altercation, allegedly after the couple couldn’t identify which rental house was theirs.

The New Orleans Police said in a press release that Cage, who was "heavily intoxicated," was taken into custody after he grabbed his wife's arm and started hitting cars in a scuffle about whether the house they were standing in front of was the one they were renting.

Cage is best known for roles in films like Raising Arizona and Leaving Las Vegas. In the latter, he played an alcoholic.
