Georgia Bulldogs QB Matt Stafford and RB Knowshon Moreno to Enter NFL Draft

Georgia Bulldogs junior quarterback Matt Stafford and sophomore running back Knowshon Moreno are expected to announce their intentions to enter the NFL Draft schedule in April.

Several media outlets expect Stafford to be the number one pick in the NFL Draft which would place him in a Detroit Lions uniform where he could be thrown into a starting position on a club that went an NFL-worst 0-16 in 2008.

Stafford is believed to have the best arm of any quarterback entering the draft. Despite a disappointing season in which the Bulldogs failed to win the SEC East and dropped games to the Florida Gators, Alabama Crimson Tide and in-state rival George Tech Stafford still threw for 3,459 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Moreno is considered a first-round pick as well with many calling him the second best back in the draft. After redshirting in 2006 Moreno put together two seasons with the Bulldogs in which he compiled 2,769 yards and 32 touchdowns.
