Hillary Clinton to Face Hearing on Tuesday Regarding Secretary of State Nomination

Hillary Clinton will be facing the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday in a public hearing to confirm her nomination as secretary of state in President-elect Barack Obama’s administration.

While there had been talk that former President Bill Clinton’s business relationships may create problems for Hillary those voices have become little more than a whisper as most expect her to face few detractors.

Sen. John Kerry, the incoming chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has already said Clinton would “bring her years of experience and acute intellect to her position as America's top diplomat.”

Clinton has been meeting with individual members of the committee and by all accounts she should have few problems in the confirmation process.
