Sarah Shahi Tweets about Paris Hilton and her bad driving

By: Daun Lee

Sarah Shahi launched a curse-filled Twitter campaign after witnessing the reckless driving habits of Paris Hilton on Monday. Shahi, who stars in ‘Fairly Legal’, posted “Worst driver ever, almost hit me, then ran a stop sign. What if there was a kid around the corner, you dumb b___.” She continued to post a few Tweets afterward that insulted Hilton’s driving, and her alleged disregard for other drivers. Hilton’s driving didn’t cause an accident, but that could be different the next time she drives and doesn’t follow safe driving practices.

Shahi has a two year- old son, so her concern is understandable.  Representatives for Paris Hilton haven’t issued a statement regarding Shahi’s allegations. At this time, there is no explanation for Paris’ supposed careless driving.

According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, 20 percent of all accidents involving injuries are caused by a distracted driver. There are many activities that a driver engages in which can distract them from the road. Using a handheld device, such as a cellphone or music player, talking to other passengers, eating or drinking are all different activities which can cause a collision, and make an accident lawyer a necessity.

The injuries that an individual sustains because of a traffic accident can be mild to very serious, and on occasion result in death. The injured person faces overwhelming debt if a long recovery is expected, and should consult an accident attorney to recoup any losses resulting from the negligence of the other driver. An accident lawyer will fight to for the injured to gain them fair compensation.
