National Weather Service issues severe weather alert for parts of the South

By: Daun Lee

The storms throughout the South, which created numerous tornadoes, and have so far caused the deaths of 11 people, according to CNN, and will continue throughout Wednesday. The National Weather Service issued a “potentially dangerous weather” warning for residents of Mississippi, northeastern Louisiana and southeastern Arkansas. The storms may create multiple powerful tornadoes.

The tornadoes can create hazardous situations for residents in their homes, and on the streets. The past two days of storms have caused the touchdown of numerous tornadoes and flooding.

Driving through the streets during a powerful storm can be dangerous. Debris from trees and homes can create driving hazards for residents in these affected states. Trying to avoid these dangers or the panic from fleeing can lead to accidents.

There are a large number of reasons people get into accidents, and unsafe driving conditions caused by severe weather increases the chances of collisions. Accidents don’t always entail injuries, but when they do the injured may find they are temporarily or permanently disabled. In other instances only property is damaged by traffic accidents.

People injured in accidents will need some financial assistance for their care, and an accident attorney can work to obtain compensation. Insurance companies can be difficult to deal with because of self-interest, but an accident lawyer will relieve the victim of this responsibility and make certain they are justly compensated for their troubles.
