Dawna Lee Heising of EOE Covers Tara Cardinal’s Japan Rescue Red Carpet Benefit

Dawna Lee Heising and John Cox of Eye on Entertainment covered Tara Cardinal’s Japan Rescue Benefit -  Celebrity Signings & Red Carpet Photo Ops on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Dark Delicacies at Dark Delicacies, located at 3512 W. Tara Cardinal organized the Japan Rescue charity benefit event.  Cardinal is a world famous scream queen, pro wrestler and sword fighter.  She’s also one of the youngest scream queens in the genre, as well as an established actress in Indy films. She has been voted one of the Top 100 Sexiest Women in TV and Movies (2010) and received a nomination for 2010’s best supporting actress for her role as the mentally retarded ward in Song of the Shattered. She has studied acting with some of the top names in Hollywood, and has produced and starred in numerous films.  Cardinal is also a pro wrestler and sword fighter, and does her own stunts. The BleedFest festival occurs the first Sunday afternoon each month. It features shorts and features in and out of competition, works in progress, and student films.  Festival founders and directors Elisabeth Fies and Brenda Fies are a filmmaking duo whose critically acclaimed feature thriller THE COMMUNE was embraced by the genre community in 2009 and 2010.  BleedFest disproves the prevailing myth that there are no female filmmakers making indie genre movies.
