A divorce can get really ugly and as each person and their divorce lawyers scramble to provide evidence that will give them favorable judgments to get them satisfactory settlements.
A lawyer in St Petersburg Florida, Carin Constantine, said she used evidence collected from Facebook in 90 percent of the cases she tried. The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, released a study that said Facebook was used in 1 out if 5 divorce cases but Constantine uses it in a larger number of her cases. The study maintained that Facebook is a hotbed of extramarital affairs.
Constantine can gather evidence which will help or hurt a client, depending on which side she is fighting for, through Facebook or by searching Google images. There is little privacy protection on Facebook especially if just one of a person’s many friends doesn’t have the appropriate privacy settings.
