According to MTV.com, Mariah’s and Nick’s twins were born early on Saturday, which was coincidentally their tree year wedding anniversary. Mariah gave birth to a girl who was born first and then a boy. As of this writing the couple has not released the names of the twins. The twins weighed about 5 pounds each and were born 9am Los Angeles time.
To celebrate the birth and their anniversary, Nick and Carey renewed their wedding vows. The Reverend Al Sharpton conducted their vow renewal on Sunday in Mariah’s hospital room, and blessed their twins.
Giving birth is one of the milestones of a woman’s life. A new mother faces many new challenges in raising their children. The time and energy that is required in raising a newborn doesn’t allow the new mother the time needed to lose the extra weight they gain during pregnancy.
