Taylor Farms Pacific Inc. has issued a recall for grape tomatoes that could be contaminated with salmonella. The recall extends to six grocery store chains across 13 states.
The affected tomatoes were grown by Six L’s Packing
Company Inc. and were used in pre-packaged salads made by Taylor Farms Pacific.
The recall was issued after salmonella was found on a grape tomato by U.S.
Department of Agriculture inspectors.
The products have expiration dates between April 27 and
May 9. They were sold at Albertson’s, Raley’s, Sam’s Club, Savemart, Signature Café
and Wal-Mart stores in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska,
New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
Consumers are advised to return the recalled products to
the place of purchase for a full refund.
