The
Denver Broncos have reached an agreement with New England Patriots offensive
coordinator Josh McDaniels that will make the 32-year-old the team’s new head
coach.
McDaniels
will be replacing Mike Shanahan who was fired at the end of the 2008 regular
season after the Broncos lost their last four games and failed to make the playoffs.
McDaniels
worked his way up the ranks with the Patriots beginning his eight-year tenure
as a personal assistant in the scouting department eventually working his way
up to the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach position in 2006.
