Officials Say Caylee Anthony Died in June

Florida authorities have determined a time frame in which toddler Caylee Anthony died. After the 3-year-old’s skeletal remains were found on a wooded lot in December, scientists examined plant life and insects to determine when Caylee was killed.

Officials say scientists have determined that Caylee died in June - a month before she was reported missing by her mother Casey Anthony, who has been charged in her death. An exact date of death could not be proved but the time frame is still helpful to prosecutors as it shows she was dead prior to when she was reported missing on July 15.

Caylee’s body was found in early December in a wooded area near the home of her grandparents, George and Cindy Anthony. Casey Anthony remains in a Florida prison awaiting trial on first degree murder charges.
