Chopstix Kentucky Derby Party this Saturday Featuring the Sock Hops After the Race

The Kentucky Derby is here again to kick off the Triple Crown races and see if a horse and jockey can capture the magic that has eluded so many in the past. Names like Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Affirmed and War Admiral are all forever linked with the Triple Crown races and no horse has been able to capture all three since Affirmed in 1978.

In honor of the event Chopstix will be hosting a Kentucky Derby Party for visitors to watch the race and enjoy the rituals that come with it. The party starts at 4:00 with a free buffet from 4-5:00.

Ladies be sure to wear your Derby best as we will be having a hat competition to see which one of you has the best piece of art on your head. Everyone knows that the Kentucky Derby is famous for people dressing up so see how you compare to everyone at Chopstix this Saturday.

Where would we be if we didn't have a Kentucky Derby Pool. Everyone likes to cheer on their favorite horse in the race. Either do some research and come prepared or pick a horse with a name you like. You can place your bets this year on horses like Animal Kingdom, Mucho Macho Man, Pants on Fire, Stay Thirsty and Uncle Mo. Make your choice and cheer them on the Run for the Roses.

Of course we will also provide entertainment after the race is over. The Sock Hops will be performing at 8:00 and singing all of your favorite songs from the 50's, 60's and 70's. From the Four Seasons to the Four Tops, the Temptations to the Tokens the Sock Hops do it all.
