Roundtable workshop to address how to properly develop equity incentives for employees, vendors and contractors

May 3, 2011, Irvine, Calif.  – Tech Coast Venture Network’s May Workshop on Compensation will be hosted on May 5, 2011 by Haynes and Boone, LLP.   Bart Greenberg, Partner, will discuss ways to use equity as an incentive to reward employees and consultants and reduce cash requirements.

The event will be held May 5, 2011, from 7:30 to 10:00 am, at Haynes and Boone, LLP 18100 Von Karman, Suite 750, Irvine, CA 92612.

You will learn how to:

  • Use equity incentives to attract top talent and retain employees.
  • Use equity incentives to compensate vendors and consultants and thereby reduce cash burn.
  • Create performance incentives by rewarding employees and consultants with equity.
  • Protect the company if an employee with an equity interest should decide to leave.

Equity incentives to be highlighted include direct stock grants (both restricted and unrestricted), grants of stock options (both qualified and nonqualified), and share appreciation rights, also known as phantom stock plans.
