An Army Blackhawk helicopter crashed
Monday on the campus of Texas A and M University. The crash left one person
dead and four others injured.
The Army UH-60 Blackhawk was
carrying four members of the Army National Guard and one member of the ROTC
staff at the university when it took off and then fell back to the ground near
the Corps of Cadets quad on campus.
The helicopter was participating in
the ROTC Winter Field Training Exercises. Officials have not released the names
and ages of those who were injured and the one who was killed. It is unclear what caused the accident.
