A Love Affair Wanted - Trump Hollywood

Trump Hollywood Looking For A Mate

The towering main lobby welcomes residents in grand and glamorous style to Trump Hollywood, with polished finishes and furnishings that one would expect of a modern, well-appointed great room. Large slabs of rare light-blue Palisandro marble, imbedded with flecks of bronze-color mica that subtly reflect the overhead and outdoor light, flank both the floor and accent walls. And to contract to the space’s sheen, Yabu Pushelberg opted for understated custom-stained, walnut wall panels. Similarly, custom wool carpets – done in shades of gold – add warmth to the lobby, as do the bronze metal and antique mirror screens that soar above to the mezzanine.

Central to the lobby are a quartet of towering, 11- to 18-foot-tall polishes stainless steel sculptures, created by Japanese artist Sawada Hirotoshi specifically for the space. Just beyond, residents will find an equally-impressive abstract metal Damon Hyldreth sculpture, which rests in an infinity-edge reflecting pool that seamlessly leads the eye out to the swimming pool and the ocean. To insure privacy in the elevator space, the design team selected a pair of custom punched-leather screens, with Miami-centric coral pattern by Moss & Lam, which are complimented by a series of illuminated coral vases on pedestals.

Just off the main lobby, residents will find the interactive game room, which incorporates several of the main lobby’s design themes, such as the custom sofas, the bronze mirrored screens and the soft blue and warm wood palate. A key feature in the game room is the beveled Cipilino marble fireplace, which is surrounded by soft gray wood panels. This striped, multi-hued marble appears again in the room’s bar. Wall coverings and floor treatments reinforce the residential feel – woven grass cloth walls are set off by dark fumed oak floors with custom Odegard rugs, done in light blues and yellow-gold’s. The coral motif is also continued here, thanks to custom painted panels, inspired by sea coral artist Deborah Moss of Moss & Lam. The furniture selected for the space is equally warm and modern; wing back chairs in chocolate browns with light-blue piping flank custom light-blue sofas.

Next door, the library space double as a private dining area, featuring grass cloth wall coverings and custom built in shelving that is done in a dark, gray lacquer. Multipurpose walnut ding tables can be used for reading or dining (for 12) and offer the perfect complement to the modern black- and white-weave upholstery chairs. Carpets in this room are also custom created in shades of gray and yellow-gold’s. The ambience is warm, sexy and beautifully appointed with coastal beach accessories.

One floor up is the Mezzanine Level boasting a collection of amenity spaces, including a wine tasting room, complete with individual lockers for the serious collector. Two design features pull this room together: the walnut trunk wine-tasting table was custom-created by artisan John Houshmand and the glass, bronze and dark wood plaid-pattern wine case.

Adjacent to the wine room is the conveniently located cigar lounge, so that residents don’t have to exit the building to enjoy a smoke. The cigar room itself has a handsome, club lounge feel with sumptuous upholstered seating conductive to lively conversations. Completing the Mezzanine Level facilities is the breakfast room where residents can enjoy a respite with collection of daily newspapers and magazines.

The 4,000- square-foot spa & fitness center, yoga studio and treatment rooms complete first floor offerings with the specially selected art collection chosen to illicit an energizing and invigorating experience. Upon entry into the fitness zone, one is greeted by a photo-mural of a woman swimming, by Barbara Cole, alongside a custom water-wall feature. The fitness area is finished in a fresh and vitalizing azure shade with tall mirror panels that graciously open up the space. The yoga studio is located adjacent to a large terrace with an open view of the beach and ocean beyond.
