Ricardo Montalban of “Fantasy Island” Fame Dies at 88

Legendary Mexican actor Ricardo Montalban, whose character on the hit television show “Fantasy Island” brought him millions of fans, has died at the age of 88.

According to a city councilman in Los Angeles Montalban passed away at his home on Wednesday morning. No cause of death has been announced.

While Montalban starred in several films and made numerous television appearances it was his role as Mr. Rourke on “Fantasy Island” that brought him the most success. The show aired on ABC from 1978-1984 and still appears in reruns on several networks.
