Chris Bosh: "My Emotions Got the Best of Me" in Game 3

Miami Heat Player Explains Poor Performance

Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh blamed his emotions for his unusually poor performance during the Heat's 97-81 loss in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals series against the Boston Celtics.

"Given all the elements that were out there last night ... they were so hyped," said Bosh. "My emotions got the best of me early on and it kind of dictated what I was doing for the rest of the game."

Bosh scored only 6 points and recorded only 5 rebounds in 30 minutes of play. A report from ESPN.com called it "perhaps his worst game of the season."

"I was not trusting my game," said Bosh. "The toughest thing to do in hostile environments is not just to trust your teammates but to trust yourself. Trust things you've been doing all your life."

Bosh says that, if he wants to perform better in the next game, he simply has to take the emotions out of his game and play basketball.

"I wasn't relaxing and playing, I play better when I'm just relaxing," said Bosh. "I have to take the emotions out and play basketball."
