The putting championship takes place September 26 through October 2 in Carlsbad, California at The Crossings. Golfers play on two of the seven days and get to select the day on which they play their first round, which consists of 72 holes of putting on the 12-hole USPT Championship putting course.

Hartley added that PGA members in the San Diego area can opt to play their first round on Monday, September 26, as Monday is a standard day off for club professionals. PGA professionals who are coming from other parts of the country can select Saturday, October 1 for their first round. Golfers who make the cut advance to Championship Sunday on October 2.
