Former NBA Player Found Dead at Age 34

Robert "Tractor" Traylor Dies at Young Age

Former NBA and University of Michigan player Robert "Tractor" Traylor was found dead on the floor of his apartment on Wednesday. He was 34 years old.

The body of the former power forward was found in his apartment in Puerto Rico. According to the police and Traylor's team, the Bayamon Cowboys, Traylor had been missing for a couple of days and apparently died from a heart attack.

Traylor started his NBA career with the Milwaukee Bucks back in 1998. He also had playing stints in Cleveland, Charlotte, and New Orleans.

"The entire Milwaukee Bucks organization is saddened by the news of Robert Traylor's death," the Bucks said in a statement. "Robert was a fierce competitor on the court who helped the Bucks reach the playoffs in each of his two seasons in Milwaukee.

"Off the court he was a gentle giant, displaying his smile and care, especially toward young people through his involvement in school visits and his work with the Special Olympics clinic."

Traylor is also well-known for having played three productive seasons with the Univeristy of Michigan Wolverines.

"We are saddened to hear about the loss of a former student-athlete, Robert Traylor," said Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon. "Our sympathies go out to his family during this difficult time."

Traylor is survived by his wife and two sons.
