Stephon Marbury and the New York Knicks are reportedly at the buyout table once more and this time the 12-year veteran is offering to return $1 million in salary to gain his release.
Marbury had already offered to return $1 million but pulled that offer nearly two months ago after the two sides failed to reach an agreement. The two-time All-Star has said he has offers from other teams but can’t make any move until his contract with the Knicks is sorted out.
According to Knicks president Donnie Walsh the guard would have to take at least $3 million less if the buyout were to take place.
If Marbury were to become a free agent many believe he would land in a Boston Celtics jersey where he would be reunited with Kevin Garnett.
