NCAA Basketball AP Top 25 Week 10 Rankings: Wake Forest Takes #1 Spot, Duke Blue Devils Remain #2 in Poll
The
Wake Forest Demon Deacons have jumped to #1 in this week’s NCAA basketball AP
Top 25 this week after their big road win over previously undefeated Clemson on
Saturday. Heading into Saturday’s game against the Tigers the Demon Deacons were
ranked #3 but Pittsburgh’s loss to the Louisville Cardinals knocked them out of
the top spot.
At
16-0, Wake Forest is the last of the unbeatens, allowing them to jump past the Duke
Blue Devils who remain #2 this week. Duke had little trouble going on the road
and beating Georgia Tech earlier in the week and then dropping Georgetown on
Saturday.
Connecticut
inched up to #3 this week after knocking off St. John’s and Seton Hall. The
Huskies are followed by fellow Big East squad Pittsburgh who fell to #4 after their
loss to the Louisville Cardinals.
The
North Carolina Tar Heels are the third ACC squad in the AP Top 25 after they
took care of the Miami Hurricanes and the Virginia Cavaliers last week.
