NBA Scores: Dallas Mavericks Get Game-Winner from Dirk Nowitzki, End Philadelphia 76ers Seven-Game Streak

Jason Kidd scored 22 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished out 6 assists, Jason Terry added 20 points, 4 assist and 4 steals and Dirk Nowitzki finished with 24 points including the game winner with seconds left to give the Dallas Mavericks (24-17) a 95-93 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers (20-21) on Monday afternoon.

Philadelphia dominated most of the first half as they built a 46-34 lead with just under three minutes left in the second quarter but the Mavericks closed the half with eight straight points to get within 46-42.

The 76ers held their lead through the first half of the third frame but Dallas went on a 14-0 run with Kidd scoring 8 and Nowitzki adding 6 as the Mavericks grabbed a 66-59 lead. They built that advantage to 74-63 by the end of the third and it looked like they had control of the game.

Dallas actually led 93-81 with 2:15 left in the game but the 76ers ran off 12 straight points to even the game at 93-93 with eight seconds left in the game. Dallas then turned to Nowitzki who hit the game-winning shot as time expired.
