Two explosions outside a military training compound in Pakistan on Friday were carried out in retaliation for the killing of Osama bin Laden, the Taliban claims. Two suicide bombers detonated their explosive laden vests back to back as military recruits were loading in to buses for a trip home after completing a 9 month training program at Shabqadar Fort.
"Pakistani and the U.S. forces should be ready for more attacks," said Pakistani Taliban spokesman Ihsan Ullah Ihsan. “Osama was our great leader and the killers of Osama will have to pay its price.”
Senior provincial minister Bashir Ahmad Bilour said at least 80 people were killed and 140 others were injured.
Bin Laden was killed earlier this month at a compound Abbottabad, Pakistan by a team of U.S. Navy Seals. Authorities believe the al Qaeda leader may have used the compound for the past 6 years.
