A  Metra train outside of Chicago in Mt. Pleasant collided with a dump truck. The driver of the truck was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Metra train was due to arrive in Chicago around 9:30 am but collide with the truck and was subsequently derailed. The first car of the train did not tip over but a small fire was ignited that was immediately put out. The cab of the dump truck was sheared off. Thousands of people are injured in traffic accidents including collisions with train which often occur at crossings. Individuals who suffer severe injuries from accidents have to deal with the cost of their healthcare. If the injuries are severe enough they could potentially miss work which can make their financial situation even worse.

People who are injured by another’s negligence can consult with an accident attorney to determine if they are able to recoup their costs. Accident lawyers fight to gain fair compensation for their clients who are harmed by another’s carelessness. The damages an accident attorney gets for the injured can’t replace good health but can give them the assurance that they will be taken care of.
