Kerry Campbell, the mom who appeared on Good Morning America and admitted to injecting her 8-year-old with Botox to help her in beauty pageants, has temporarily lost custody of her daughter. Britney Campbell was removed from her mother’s San Francisco home over the weekend by Child Protective Services. An insider tells RadarOnline.com that Britney was put in the care of relatives.
“Officials were able to place Britney with family members that live in the area,” the insider told Radar. “Britney misses her mom, terribly. Britney is safe, and being well cared for. She doesn't understand why this is happening, and Britney thinks this is her fault.”
GMA host Lara Spencer, who first interviewed Kerry and her daughter, confirms Child Protective Services is investigating. "I've spoken with someone very close to the case, she is out of her mother's home. She's doing well. The case is under investigation by CPS and we should have new details within a week. But the main thing here -- she's doing well,” Spencer said.
Under California law, only a doctor or registered nurse is allowed to administer Botox.
