Jim Hartley, founder and president of the U.S. Putting Tour, is scheduled to be interviewed by Mike Brabanec on Golf Talk Radio Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. pacific daylight time. The weekly golf show airs on ESPN 1280 in San Luis Obispo County and on ESPN 1230 in Bakersfield, California.
Mr. Hartley will discuss the origins of the putting tour, plans for the inaugural USPT Championship, how golfers can enter the championship directly, and how they can participate in qualifying events to compete in the championship.
"We expect to get a number of golfers from the Central Coast and the Bakersfield area in this year's USPT Championship," said Hartley. "Being on with Mike is a great opportunity to let the golfing community in those two areas know about the tournament."
The
putting championship will take place in Southern California at The Crossings golf course in north San Diego County. Championship Week for the event runs from Monday, September 26 through Sunday, October 2. Golfers can select the day they want to play their first round, which consists of 72 holes of putting on The Crossings' main putting green. Those golfers who make the cut after the first round will play again on Sunday, October 2.
The
putting tournament is open to all golfers over the age of 12, including men and women, amateurs and professionals. Hartley said that he expects to see a number of mini-tour players from throughout California and Arizona signing up to play in the event.
On the interview, Hartley indicated he will give listeners information on other deals and offers available to those people participating in the tournament. Additional information is available at the website for the
putting tour and by emailing info@usputtingtour.com.
