Baseball outfielder Lenny Dykstra who played with the Philadelphia Phillies and the NY Mets is facing foreclosure. His home in Ventura County California which is occupied by his ex-wife and their 15 year old son could be sold as early as next month. Dykstra says if the home is foreclosed they will have nowhere to live. A Ventura County judge blocked the sale of the home for the present.
Dykstra has been dealing with financial troubles currently lives in Los Angeles and declared bankruptcy in 2009. In addition to his financial problems he also and may be indicted for bankruptcy fraud. The charges against him allege he illegally sold $400,000 dollars of assets after he filed for bankruptcy protection.
He had to sell another home in the Lake Sherwood area last fall for a fraction of its original purchase price. The home was valued at $17.5 million but was sold for $760,000.
