Nadal to Face Isner in First Match at French Open
Rafael Nadal Will Face Tall American, Isner, on Clay
Spanish tennis great Rafael Nadal will face off against John Isner of the United States in their opening match at the French Open.
Widely regarded as the greatest tennis player on clay, Nadal is 38-1 all-time at the French Open, while Isner is 2-2. But Isner is tall at 6'9", and Rafa knows that Isner has a powerful serve.

"He's one of these players that you prefer not to have in the first round," said Rafa. "His style of game is dangerous. His serve is unbelievable."
But Nadal is ready for the challenge and says that he feels almost like he's home at the French Open, even though he hails from Spain.
"Always unforgettable memories, no? Seriously, just to be back to this tournament is a really special feeling," said Rafa. "You remember a lot of things from the past years, so in general, I feel a little bit like home."
