Novak
Djokavic found himself in a fight in the third round of the Australian Open but
the Serb managed to battle his way past Amer Delic in four sets 6-2, 4-6, 6-3,
7-6 (7-4) to advance to the fourth round and continue his pursuit for a second
straight title in Melbourne.
Djokavic
managed to take advantage of Delic’s unforced errors as the American hit 56
errant shots and managed to break Djokavic’s serve just once despite nine
opportunities. Djokavic limited himself to 27 unforced errors.
Djokovic
is the defending Australian Open champion, his only Grand Slam title. Last year
he knocked off Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for the title.
